Thanks to its fantastic position and the picturesque city, La Rochelle is one of the most popular holiday destinations of the French on the Atlantic coast. The city is approx. three hours away from Paris with the TGV; approx. 140 000 people live in La Rochelle (80 000 live in the city). A stroll through the old part of the city, will take you past many historical buildings from the 15th century to the 18th century. In the surrouding region you will find a very picturesque coastal landscape.
