This thermal and university city in the south of France has approx. 160 000 inhabitants and lies in the heart of the Provence. The geographical position makes it into the ideal starting point for many excursions to explore the surrounding areas, many of them very charming. The beaches and the small bays on the Mediterranean are only half an hour away with the car. Aix-en-Provence has a very pleasant climate: the summers stretch into October and the mild Autumns can last until Christmas. The city center is very picturesque and very popular with its small shops, restaurants, cafés and markets.
