Swimming and a cultural metropolis in one
Nizza is the pearl of the Côte d’Azur and enjoys the reputation of being a university city, cultural metropolis, and an international swimming paradise. This is the main city on the Côte d’Azur and has around 350 000 inhabitants. It lies about 10km away from Fürstentum Monaco and 30km from the Italian border. This makes Nizza the ideal starting point for excursions in the region. It doesn't matter if you go in the direction of Cannes or Monaco – the region around Nizza is extremely varied and very beautiful.
