Villefranche-sur-mer
A small picturesque city with a view of Cape Ferrat
On a very beautiful bay, almost 6 km east of Nizza and 10 km west of Monaco, you will find the small, picturesque city of Villefranche-sur-Mer (approx. 7 000 inhabitants).
The historical old part of the city, the habour and the Citadelle from the 15th century invite you for a stroll, ... take a break and nip into one of the many small restaurants in the area.
Depending on the time of year, the school organises excursions to well known areas such as the Saint-Paul-de-Vence, to Grasse, the French perfume and flower center, to Maeght Fondation or to the Picasso museum in Antibes. Nizza, Cannes and Monte Carlo offer a large range of cultural activities such as the famous Carneval of Nizza im February, podium discussions with well known personalities from the world of literature, art, and politics, and shows - ranging from classical to avantgarde at the Théâtre de Nice. Due to its proximity to Nizza nothing stands in the way of a good meal, delightful entertainment, and a stroll along the promenade to round off the evening.
