Host Family
You live with a host family in a single room with half-board (breakfast and dinner) during the week and full-board on the weekends. You can also book a single room with a private bathroom.
Most host families live outside of the city center, but are easily reachable with the bus or by bike.

Student Housing
The school can organize an apartment for you in the student residence. You have a single room (double upon request) and share the bathroom and the kitchen with other students. A security deposit of 150.00 EUR is required upon arrival. Normal standard housing is approximately a 25 minute walk, whereas high standard housing is approximately a 15 minute walk from school. These accommodations may be booked all year.

In the summer time, there is a limited number of apartments with higher standard available. Please ask us for additional information.

Travel to Galway
There are only a few direct flights to Galway. Therefore, we recommend that you fly to Dublin, and from there, take the long-distance bus "City Link" to Galway. The bus goes directly from Dublin Airport and takes approximately 4 hours to Galway. Schedules and prices may be found on www.citylink.ie.

Minimum Age / Class Size
In July and August, students must be at least 17 years old and class sizes are a maximum of 14 participants.

Leisure time

You will find a large selection of pubs, clubs and restaurants. If you love music, there are also pubs, where traditional Irish music and everything from jazz to rock are featured. Galway is particularly proud of its theaters, "The Druid" and "The Taibhdhearc", where Ireland's biggest writer's are performed. You also have a multitude of sporting possibilities - swimming, horseback riding, tennis, golf, billiards or bowling.

Additionally, the school offers weekly activities, for example, sports, evening entertainment, video evenings, etc. In the summer, excursions take place each weekend, however, only if there are enough participants who have registered. In winter, there are trips planned each month.
