The school lies near the harbor and the beach, the market square and the old town. The course participants travel to school by foot, bicycle or bus - unless, they come by boat and take the regularly scheduled "sea bus" from the harbor!
The modern school building houses twelve spacious, bright and pleasant classrooms. There is also an auditorium and multi-media room.

Host Family
You live with a host family in a single room with half-board, and for an additional fee, you may have a private bathroom. If you wish, your host family will collect you at the La Rochelle train station. If you require this option, please inform your host family.

In summertime, it is possible to have a single room with breakfast in the student housing. The bathroom is located on the floor and the residence is approximately 5 - 10 minutes by foot to the school. Miniumum age is 18 years old. These rooms are available between 28.06. - 30.08.08.

Travel
The easiest way to reach La Rochelle is with the TGV. Travel time is approximately 8 hours. Please contact the SBB travel office near you for exact prices/schedules.

Leisure time

The school, internally, organizes supplemtary social programs, movie screenings, community nights and sightseeing. La Rochelle, itself, has many public events. A multitude of cafés, bars, discos and restaurants lie along the picturesque harbor. There are also a varity of activities available for those who are interested in sports: wind surfing and sailing, horseback riding, cycling and golf.
The school also organizes excursions to the nearby islands of Ré, Oléron and Aix. They also recommend a weekend trip to Bordeaux.
