The School
English in Chester was established in 1976 and is well-known for its high quality eduaction for all age groups. The school has two neighboring buildings, which are over 200 years old, where the standard courses and the administrative offices are located. There are 6 classrooms with audio and video equipment for the executive business and industry specialist courses in a separate, nearby training center. The training center has a lounge, language lab and computer room with free internet access on its premises, enabling students a comfortable place to learn and meet other students from the Executive Course. The school is located within the city walls of Chester and is, currently, the only school in the city offering English as a foreign language.

Executive Host Family
With an Executive Host Family, you will have a comfortable living area where private room and bath are a rule. If you wish, you can book your accommodations to include breakfast or half-board, with full-board on the weekends. Travel
The most convenient way to get to Chester is via Manchester or Liverpool Airports. Zurich and Basel offer direct flights to Manchester. If there are not enough students with the same language level for a group class, the school will offer private lessons at a reduced rate.

Chester has approximately 120'000 inhabitants and is located in Northwestern England (Cheshire) near the Welsh border.
With its over 2'000 years of history, Chester is rich in culture and visited by tourists from all over the world (8.25 million per year). Chester is not only known for the most famous city wall in Great Britain, but also for housing the largest Roman amphitheater in the country. The unique "Rows" on the two-story, market from the Middle Ages with its antique stores and book shops is an architectural must see. To truly appreciate the city, visit the thousand year old cathedral and the oldest racetrack in Great Britain. The Dee river is in the heart of the city, where visitors can take boat rides or long walks along its shores. This is an ideal place to meet the local people and visit the multitude of traditional cafés and pubs, which Chester has to offer.
