The Accademia Italiana, which was founded in 1997, is on the most lively and beautiful street in Salerno, the Via Roma. The school sits not far from the catherdral square dating back to the Middle Ages (9th Century) in the middle of the old city. The approximately 5 classrooms are located in Palazzo Angrisani, an old and imposing building, directly on the famous sea promenade of the city creating an authentic, one-of-a-kind atmosphere. Host Family
You live with a family in a single or double room with the choice of breakfast or half-board. The families live within walking distance of the school. Through this living arrangement, you can immerse yourself in Italian culture and lifestyle and practice speaking day-to-day Italian outside of the classroom.
Please note, that a traditional Italian dinner is served at approximately 21.00.

With these accommodations, you live in a single room in the lively student housing in old Palazzi. The bathroom and kitchen are shared with other students. Bed linens, water, gas and electricity are included in the price. All apartments are within walking distance of the school.

Leisure time

The school offers a wide variety of group activities. During the week there are many cultural and recreational activities scheduled. The daily program is included in the course price (costs for entrance to museums and theaters, transportation, tours and dinners are not included).
Each week, there are tours through the city of Salerno and the old city with museums, churches, monuments, workshops and weekly markets. On the weekends, excursions and tours are available to neighboring areas, for example Amalfi, Ravello, Positano, Sorrento, Pompeii and Paestum.
The mild climate and the location by the sea make it possible to enjoy many water sports year-round. The school would be happy to provide you with information regarding the best sports facilities.
For classic or modern theater, movies or concerts or other evening activities, the students may go with their teachers.
Once a week, the school organizes a dinner in a "Trattoria". The school receives a discounted price for its students with their teacher and Italian friends to enjoy the regional specialties and to practice their Italian in a stimulating atmosphere.
